Stump Removal
When a tree has been removed, a section
of the stump and root ball remain. The stump can be ground away
leaving a hole that can be filled with topsoil and replanted with
grass seed, a garden or another more site specific tree. |
Our Services
Pruning
Pruning of trees should be performed without
the use of spurs or gaffs. The reason for this is that spurs cause
unnecessary injuries to healthy trees that may lead to disease and
insect infestation. An Arborist can safely prune trees to make them
more structurally sound, remove dead limbs, make them aesthetically
pleasing, provide clearance for structures, wires and other
interferences and to allow for under story growth.
Removal
Tree removal is a hazardous job. A trained
Arborist possesses the skills and equipment to safely and properly
perform this work. Tree removal should be the last resort and care
should be taken to discuss all other options with the property owner
before work commences. Factors influencing removal include: tree is
dead or dying, tree poses immediate danger to people or property,
removal for construction, obstructing under story growth.
A good Arborist will promote the planting of a replacement tree in a
more desirable location once the tree in question is removed. They
will also be able to suggest a variety of different species that will
be suitable to the specific location.
Emergency Tree Care
The Niagara Region has experienced
several severe weather patterns in recent years which have resulted in
many hazardous tree scenarios. An Arborist possesses the skills
necessary to safely deal with fallen trees on structures, cars and
other trees, while avoiding further injury to people or property. |
